This retro tank is named after Helen Willis. She was an American tennis player famous for holding the #1 spot in tennis for nine years. We love hearing Helen described by her playing style ‘she owned every kind of shot, plus a genius for knowing how/when to use them.’
Her grace on the court is what set her apart from the rest. She also practised against men to hone her talent – beating the 8th ranked male in 1933 in an exhibition match! #AthelteGoals
